So I started my Christmas decorating tonight. Jasen is at work, the kids are all in bed, I have all of my candles lit, I am listening to a great Christmas saxaphone CD, it is SO peaceful!! I had to laugh though, because all of my decorations are a good 2 to 3 ft off the ground :) With two toddlers running around, ya do what ya gotta do!!! I guess it gives "stockings were hung by the chimney with care" a whole new meaning!!!

I love the way you did the stockings. I have yet to get ours hung....but truth be told...most everything else is all decorated and ready. For me too, this is my favorite time of year...and this morning as I type, there are little bitty snowflakes falling :)

The decorations look good. I think the extent of mine this year will be a candy cane or two on the door handles of my kitchen cupboards!

I love this time of year, too! I always look foward to decorating...but ours are similar to yours. 2-3 feet up and nothing too breakable :)

What a pretty and cozy looking breakfast nook. I am sure the rest of your home is very warm and cozy as well. I hope that you have many more quiet and candlelit nights.

Very nice! You inspired me to put up decorations too! Usually I wait till December, but it's close enough!

Caren, I decided to start earlier because you spend so much time making things look nice, it's a shame if you only have things up just for a couple of weeks. Jasen is going to take the boys and cut a tree this weekend, then it will really be Christmas!! Good for you getting an early start, I'm sure it looks wonderful :)

I hope to see your decorations in person while they are still up. And to see the kids, of course.

Hi Jerry,
I hope you can visit soon, we are disapointed you won't be with us for Christmas :(

I got my outdoor Christmas lights up, but I had to buy a new set to do it! But they look very cheery and Christmasy. How are you going to present the puppy to the kids?

Helen - It looks so festive I am going to have to come over for tea now that we are both jobless for awhile :) Also, where did you get those cute stockings? I need to get some for Jeremy & I with our names on them!
