Some Of My Favorite Pictures

So there is no big news to report from Tennessee, no new pictures to post. I am feeling homesick for my friends in Alaska, so I decided to go through my pictures (those I have on my laptop) and post some favorites to remind me of great times and some of the best people on the planet!

Snow Day!

I know that all of you guys in Ketchikan do NOT want to hear about snow, but we have been waiting for some and it finally arrived today. Granted, it isn't the downfall you all had, but we were determined to go out and have fun in it anyway!!

The Wickert School Of Excellence!

Many of you know that we chose to Home School the kids for this school year. We felt that it would be the best for them and help with the whole transition, change process. At times it has been overwhelming for me, but overall it has been good. Being able to be flexible with looking at houses, moving and getting settled has worked really well.

We had a really long Christmas break which allowed us to move in to our new house and unpack. With Christmas thrown in there too, it was chaotic for a while! Today started our new routine. We had a good school day, although after taking such a long break motivation was a little hard to find in our students! However, we persevered and they did well. I have set up a "classroom" which I think will work really well as it separates "home" from "school".

Happy Birthday Adam!

So here we are another year gone, and another one of our children a year older! Adam Paul turned 6 today! It is very hard to believe, that so much time has past. Uncle Dave, Auntie Jenn, Abby, Grandma, Sharon and Allison came to his party. We had fun playing games and watching Adam open presents. We missed our usual party guests, Linders, Cookes, Matiashowskis, Becky, and of course Grandpa, but hopefully you can join in a little of the fun through our pictures. Happy Birthday Adam!!

Of course the evening couldn't end without a show from our two favorite performers!

Our New House

So I have been BUGGED to death to post house pictures!! So here are a few. Since we purchased the house, we have had it painted and had new carpet installed. With Christmas I haven't taken many pictures since we moved in, but these will give you an idea. We still have a few things we want to do to modernize it a little but we are comfortable here until we find our dream in the country!
