Welcome Baby Petal!!

My good friend Becky Reinbold (most know her as Becky Miller) had a beautiful baby girl on Friday evening. I haven't spoken to her yet, but from the pictures it looks like they are doing great. Petal May was born at 9:29pm on Friday night, weighed 6lbs 4oz and was 21" long. Congratulations Stewart & Becky, we will see you in September!!

Little Fishermen :)

Last Saturday, Jasen took the boys fishing off the dock at Knudsen Cove Marina.

They had tonnes of fun, and were so proud of the 13 HUGE fish they caught!! I think Jaden heaviest one weighed "50 and 100 pounds!!" Unfortunately for the fish they just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.......poor little fish. Falling into the hands of two little boys is a very sad thing. They are now fertilizer under my rhody bush!!

Adam!

Those of you that know Adam, know he is one of the sweetest kids around, his personality is so pleasant, and he is such a character, although there are surfacing concerns regarding his spiritual life.......

My sister in law, Jenn pulled Jasen aside at church tonight, she was encouraging Jasen to talk to Adam more about Jesus, when we are at home. When Jasen asked why, she told him that Adam had come in to church this morning, with his bible tucked under his arm, and proudly told Jenn "Look Jenn, I have brought my bible to church so I can listen to Grandpa talk about TARZAN!!!"

Hmmmm, what translation is that you are preaching out of Grandpa??

Jasens' Week

On Wednesday of last week, a good friend of Jasens', Don Reeser and his wife Denise came to town for a wedding in our church. Dons' parents are a big part of our church here, and Jasen worked with them when he first arrived in Ketchikan 13yrs ago. Don was such an encouragment to Jasen back then, and he has always valued their friendship.....I know he misses it!!

So, after Don arrived, he Bob & Jasen headed out to Bob & Pats cabin for some "guy time". They stayed through Friday, and had a fun time and good fellowship. The fishing, however wasn't that successful, but they did get some shrimp and crab. We definitely missed him at home!!

This picture is especially for Jasen's friend Ted in Tennessee. Jasen actually caught this Sea Cucumber with his fishing pole, we are preserving it just for you Ted....mmm mmm good!! Oh...it tastes just like chicken :)

A Rare Occasion

Last Saturday we did something that we very rarely do.....we walked as a family around Ward Lake. The weather was beautiful, so we took advantage of it.

Sadly, it isn't often that we go out like that all together, most of you don't realize what a major production it is to pack up and take 4 small kids anywhere, plus, Saturday just seems to be a day where errands are run or projects are caught up with. It was nice just to be able to relax and do something fun.

Catch of the Day

A couple of weeks ago, our friend Jeremy took Jasen out fishing. I was told later by his wife Kristi that he was determined to fill our freezer!! They were gone all day, but their trip was very successful. They caught Halibut, Ling Cod & Red Snapper. Here is Jasen's King Salmon, and also the end result after he brought it all home. This is just a portion of it. It's hard to skin and cut up that much fish!! Looks kinda gross, but it's yummy to eat. Thanks Jeremy!!

P.S. See Kristi, we put dead stuff on our blog too! :)

Fun Pics

Here are a few favorite pics, I have taken over the last few weeks!

JOB!

For those of you that may not be aware, I have a new job! Call me crazy wouldn't you think that I have enough on my plate? :) Anyway, I am officially the Daycare Director for what will be Clover Pass Daycare. The daycare will be an extension of our Christian School. We hope to be up and running by the beginning of the new school year, it is very exciting. For some time now, I have been wanting to find something that would challenge my brain beyond 4 yr old conversation, but it has also been very important to us for me to be able to stay home with the kids. This way I get to do both, I get to take the babies with me a couple of days a week, and do the admin office stuff at home! Couldn't be better. I am thankful for the opportunity, and am praying all goes smoothly.

P.S. I am starting to write a book too.....more on that later!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABIES!!

What a difference a year makes!! Last July we were celebrating the arrival of our twins Leah & Evan in Seattle Washington. They were a little early, so as you can see they had a longer hospital stay than most. Thankfully after 10 days we were able to bring them home to Ketchikan. They have done nothing but thrive over the last year. Evan is walking, and Leah won't be far behind! They definatley keep us all busy, but they are a true joy. Here are a few pictures of our little party yesterday.

THE 4TH

We had a great day yesterday. we had a few friends over for a BBQ, and also to help celebrate the twins first birthday! More on that later, it deserves it's own post!
The weather was perfect, warm and sunny. The kids had a great time together they were outside the whole afternoon. Lots of good food and fun fellowship. Even Sydney joined in on the fun.

Happy Birthday Jaden!!

Jaden is celebrating his 5th birthday this week!

It is so hard to believe. Jasen and I were talking yesterday about how quickly these last 5yrs have gone by. He has had a fun couple of days. Lots of presents, which included some dress up clothes...which he is modeling in this picture!! So cute :) This is Raymie whacking the pinata!

We threw a party for him yesterday and invited some of his friends, we had a great time. The weather was perfect, so we mostly played outside. Here are some pictures of our day!

We played a traditional British partygame called pass the parcel. The kids loved it!
