Congratulations! Now that the decision is made, does the puppy have a name or is it time to start up the blog name poll?

Well, this isn't the actual puppy we are getting, this is a puppy from the Mom's previous litter. In fact the puppy we would be getting hasn't been born yet. We would be getting it just in time for Christmas morning. We will definately be starting up a puppy poll, but I think it may be a bit too soon yet.

P.S. Not a word to the boys!!!

Becky, No it isn't one of Shilohs pups, it is a Golden Retriever, and, when it's born will be in Tennessee! Jasen will (if we get it)pick it up on the way back from Ted's wedding.

Jenn & Dave, YES, please will you keep the puppy until Christmas morning. Sydney needs to be a good cousin and set a good example though, we would like it potty trained by the time it comes to our house :)

A golden retriever is an excellent choice. I think that the two best breeds for families with kiddos are retrievers and labs. What an awesome Christmas present!

Such a cute little guy (or gal or whatever it happens to be). Now I need to talk Virgil into us getting a puppy!

Well, Jasen could bring one for you too!!!

We are so excited you guys are joining the dog lovers club! Shylo and Kenai are going to love having another friend to beat up on!

Golden's a great dogs, just make sure Jasen picks a GIRL! They don't mark their territory (kids toys, tires, porch, plants, legs, etc.) like males do! I have owned both sexes and definitely prefer girls.

I have already decided what I am getting the boys and you for Christmas. The boys get a shedding blade (doggie hair brush) and for you Helen I am going to buy a year's supply of hair/lint rollers! Hehehe

I agree. Out of all the dogs I have had, I found females are generally much easier to handle They don't roam around the neighborhood marking their territory every morning and night.
