A Great Weekend

Well, we came home today after our weekend away in Seattle. We had so much fun, it was great to be foot loose and fancy free :) We went out to eat, stayed up late, slept in late, went to a movie, you know, all those things you do BEFORE children enter the picture.

Our visit with Becky & Stewart was great, and our time with Paul & Wanda was encouraging as always. The concert was great, very entertaining!! Our seats were decent, we were alot closer than it looks in the picture, but a few rows closer to the front would have been nice.

So, now it's back to reality, dirty diapers, cooking dinner, soothing crying kids, and priceless moments like Adam saying "Mommy, I missed you so much, I'm glad you are home.....Daddy too!" I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Oh...what in the world...Jasen is gonna try(and I totally understand it is "try" at this point) to come to my wedding!?!?!? THAT IS SO AMAZING! I wasn't thinking that would be at all possible!!!! Ok...this is too long...bye bye.

Ted,
The show was great, everyone came on individually and sang 2 or 3 songs, then there were a couple of duets, and one songs where all the guys sang. Mandisa opened the show, I could've listened to her the whole night, she has a very strong witness even during the show it was neat to see. She was outspoken about her faith. Taylor was up last, and the funny thing was that before he came on stage you could hear him singing, but we didn't know where it was coming from....then this big group of security guys came down the steps right nest to us, and Taylor was right in the middle, it was fun...It happened so fast, I didn't realize it was him until he had gone by, we were really cloe though!

Chris, Taylor, Elliott and Mandisa were by far the best, and commanded the biggest response from the crowd. The whole group, sang 2 or 3 songs at the end.

So as far as Jasen coming to your wedding, he would love to and pretty much plans on it, we just haven;t looked into ticket prices yet.....we will let you know!

Now, this is long...hopefully I answered your questions adequately!

So glad to you two had a great time. I can relate about being away from your kiddos. Our few days in Seattle this summer was the first time I was ever away from Jenna. It was great being "free" for a few days but I was sure glad to get back to my sweetie.

Welcome home!

You should have called this post "Kidless in Seattle"! It sounds like fun. Maybe in a few years when our kids are older we will do that. I'm just not ready to leave town without them yet!

Jasen & Helen,
After you have gotten up off the floor, you can read our note. We love the blog site, and although we haven't taken the time to comment, we really enjoy it. I usually get on after the kids are in bed, but this week I am going to make sure and get on while they can see too. Especially after Uncle Jasen's call.

Good for you getting away! Kudos to your family for helping. "If wishes were horses", we'd get a night or two away. Oh well, only 11 more years until Jacob is 18. Maybe when Mom and Grams come we'll sneak away for a night.

Love the pictures of the kids! love ya'll!

Helen and Jasen,
We are so glad to hear that you got to get away and have some fun! We are going to go out of town for almost a week to District Conference at the end of the month. What is it like to be kidless and on vacation? We have never left them for more than one night with someone else. You are so blessed to have your wonderful family there to help you! So, Nathanael is 9 and Rebekah is almost 8, and we've never left them and gone on vacation without them. I'm afraid I'll talk about them the entire week...What do you talk about when your life revolves so much around your children? It will indeed be a good break for us to get away and be alone together. It was fun to see the pictures of the boys going off to school too. We started school today with our new curriculum. We had a good, yet exhausting day, only because it was full of school plus a bunch of other stuff. This is becoming the "post of long comments", eh! Take care!
Julie for all of us
