Stuff!

We have been experiencing some nicer weather over the last couple of days, we have taken every opportunity to be outside. Here are some random shots of the kids outside and in from over the weekend.

We are busy this week getting ready for our trip to Florida. Call us crazy, but we are taking all four kids and we are doing it alone!! Oh well, 6-7 hrs of misery on an airplane will be well worth the 2 weeks of sunshine and hot weather!!

Sunny Day!!

The sun found it's way back to Ketchikan today!! It even feels warm outside. We are having a beautiful day. Adam and I planted flowers this morning, they look very bright and cheery.

Our friends Matthew & Caren had their baby yesterday, so we all went in to visit this morning. He is very sweet. We are busy preparing for our upcoming vacation to Florida.....can't WAIT!! My grandparents are coming over from England, we are going to have a great time. We leave a week from Tuesday :)

4/28/06 Correction!! I have been rebuked by my grandfather.....they are coming over from WALES, not England. Please forgive me!!!

Poor Adam!!

Well, we had our first real Emergency Room visit with Adam this week. Tuesday morning, I was chatting with a friend and he came running out of the bathroom crying and holding his finger.....blood EVERYWHERE!! He had grabbed a glass and had tried to get himself a drink, I guess he must have hit the faucet with it and it smashed. We took him in and the doctor glued it up, thankfully no need for stitches. We had one VERY sad little boy :(

This week

This week I have had chance to visit and catch up with many of my friends. It has been good, but very full. I think there has been a differnet person here every morning and every afternoon all week!! I have lots of work to catch up on at home :)

BIG HELPER!!

Jaden is such a big helper around the house, as you can see he loves to help with the babies...sometimes a little too much. He went in the kitchen today without being asked and cleaned up all of the lunch stuff, food, garbage, dishes..it was spotless when I went in there. What a sweet boy :)

Evan's on the move....almost!!

Over the last week or so Evan has been up on his hands and knees more, trying to get from A to B. Normally he rolls, but he is not far from being able crawl, he is definately our most inquisitive child so once he goes there will be no stopping him!!!!!!!!

Family

I was thinking this week about how grateful I am for a family that is close by and such a strong support. Four small children can get pretty overwhelming sometimes, they are all good kids, but it is just plain tiring!! My parents live right next door, so they are only a phone call or a loud holler away....my brother and his wife Jenn live about 5 minutes away and always make themselves available to help out. My Mom recently went back to work after taking 9 months off to help me with the twins, she is still over everyday for lunch, so that is always a nice break for me. We also have lots of friends around us that are like family in lots of ways. We sang a song in church today called "Count your blessings" so that's what I am doing today!!!

A Baby Shower!!!

We had a baby shower today for a good friend of mine Becky Reinbold. She is visiting for a week. Becky and her husband Stewart live in Washington, and were the first visitors we received after I was medivaced to Seattle with our twins. There were a great group of ladies in attendance, and Becky was really blessed with lots of beautiful gifts. I think one of the favorites was a knitted cardigan, hat and bootie set my Mom made.....it was a hit to say the least! All in all it was a great day. Jasen stayed home with all of the kids and gave me a wonderful afternoon off, he is the best husband and daddy anyone could ask for.

Twins

A friend of mine took this picture of Leah & Evan the other day. It is probably the best one I have of them together. It always amazes me the lengths we go to to get our kids to smile for pictures.....you parents know what I am talking about!!

Jasen Gone :(

This week has been SOOOOO long already and it is only Wednesday. Jasen has been gone all week in Anchorage for training, he doesn't get back until Friday. I really miss him when he is gone, so do the boys. I have a new appreciation for single Moms trying to raise kids alone...it is very hard work!!! My saving grace is that my Mom comes over for lunch everyday :) Needless to say we will be VERY happy to see Daddy return at the end of the week !

Work Day

Yesterday, a small group of our young adults did some yard work for a lady in our church. There was lots of rakeing and brush burning. It was a beautiful day, the boys were able to go and help too. They had lots of fun!
