I know that all of you guys in Ketchikan do NOT want to hear about snow, but we have been waiting for some and it finally arrived today. Granted, it isn't the downfall you all had, but we were determined to go out and have fun in it anyway!!
OK, Helen...the only thing more pathetic than that snow fall is the "sled" those kids are on!! LOL!! Sorry...I couldn't resist giving you a hard time. Should I send a check so you can go buy the kiddies a real sled??? It sure seems like you guys and the kids were having fun, tho. Are you going to get more snow or what? They say we are supposed to get more the end of next week and I am dreading it! The stuff we already got is still piled high in places despite all the warm weather we've had. It was 47 deg today!! We actually opened windows to let fresh air in. It was heavenly! Anyway, hope you guys are well and happy in your new home. Miss You~ Nan
Your kids would have loved our big snowfall! They could make tunnels and forts! My kids were just too young to really enjoy it. They would just get stuck. Meadow did ok.
So, down there do they just not know what sleds are? I guess it would be kind of difficult. I don't recall "The King" every being in a sled. A Hawaiian boat, yes, but not a sled. I'm glad you guys are having fun. In fact, I make a gift of all the snow we're supposed to get. I'll have it shipped directly to your house. :)
It's snowing here again today and looks a little like the snow amount in your pictures (right now that is). Oh yes, we still have very high snow berms. Here's an article I found which comes from Juneau -

I love your clever sled. Since you hardly ever get snow, why buy one! I hope that you had some fun getting pulled on it too.
